UPLANDERS WAREHOUSE™ TO MAKE FIRST ANNUAL DONATION TO PHEASANTS FOREVER
Bozeman, MT, January 14, 2009 – Uplanders Warehouse (www.uplanders.com) originally created its UDonate™ program to help promote and contribute to upland conservation organizations. Now that 2008 has ended, Uplanders Warehouse will be making its first annual contribution to Pheasants Forever at the 2009 Pheasant Fest exhibition. The Pheasant Fest show runs from February 6 through 8, 2009 at the

Energy
Center in
Madison, Wisconsin .
The UDonate program allows customers of Uplanders Warehouse to select a conservation organization at the time of their purchase. Options to choose from include Pheasants Forever, Quail Unlimited and the Roughed Grouse Society. Uplanders Warehouse will then donate 2% of their total purchase to the conservation organization they selected. This program is completely free to customers of Uplanders Warehouse. Uplanders Warehouse makes the donation from it’s pocket – based on the order total of their customers and the conservation group selected.
While Uplanders Warehouse is still in its first full-year of business, it ended calendar year 2008 making the following contributions:
- Pheasants Forever - $180.96
- Quail Unlimited - $118.24
- Roughed Grouse Society - $44.38
“We are glad to contribute to these great organizations, but frankly, I’m disappointed that only 29% of our customers chose to participate in a free program to donate to these conservation groups” said Jared Tanner, owner of Uplanders Warehouse. “The Uplanders Warehouse business has surpassed our expectations in its first year – despite the down economy. But honestly, I was expecting and hoping to make larger contributions through the UDonate program” he continued.
“This tells me we have an opportunity to better educate our customers and other hunters about the UDonate program. I find it hard to believe that anyone making a purchase wouldn’t choose to have us make a donation on their behalf – especially when it doesn’t cost them a dime” Jared stated.
In an effort to educate bird hunters about the UDonate program, Uplanders Warehouse will highlight the program at Pheasant Fest 2009 – with signs and a brochure educating potential customers of the impact their purchases can have on their preferred conservation programs.
