I purchased these chaps for upland bird hunting. The other chaps I have tried have not repeled all briar, thorns, thistles, etc... I considered trying leather chaps for my next purchase but they would have been very hot, having seen an advertisement for the Turtleskin SnakeArmor Chaps I thought I\'d give them a try. These chaps are the lightest chaps I have tried, they repel all stickers, thorns, thistles etc... They breath better than any chaps I have tried and they repel water better. They cost more but the price is worth it too me.
