Designed to give you a perfect comfortable fit these rugged chaps have two adjustable side straps (place one on each side of a belt loop) so they wont twist and the adjustable snaps on each strap let you adjust them to your desired length. They also have brass zippers and mud flap snaps on the outside of each leg that open wide so that pulling them over your boots is easy work. Made with 12" high double layer of Filson's exclusive Oil Finish Tin Cloth, they offer the maximum in durability and water repellency.

I've hunted hard from Minnesota to Kansas with the Filson Double Tin Chaps with Zipper and managed to get 5 years out of them by sewing up the holes and relaxing...I'd say I got my moneys worth and am getting a second pair. Definitely a quality product.

I purchased a pair of these Filson Double Tin chaps in 1992. Since then, they've hunted desert, rain, snow, barbed wire,field trials, blizzards, thunderstorms, Northwood thickets, SW cactus encounters and lots of other places. I've rewaxed them numerous times by warming the can with a hair dryer and rubbing the wax on thick. I've patched barbed wire rips with duct tap (they are all small tears). Mine had leather around the very bottom of the legs which disappeared after a few seasons in the Georgia quail briar thickets- but I put duct tape around them too. I just this year replaced my chaps with Turtleskins. Love them both.

These Double Tin Chaps were the first Filson product I owned...BUT...now I own several. Besides being "Made In USA"...these are the best chaps I have ever used or owned. Hunting in the south, they can be a bit warm until broken in. Now they are my hunting armor - having worn them from Alabama to Georgia to Texas to Florida. I have no fear of ANY terrain. I haven't rewaxed them on purpose (breathability - is that a word?) They are great - I won't go to the quail field without them!
